Ken, Susy, and new volunteer Christine tackled Manmoel Road, now looking unreal without its carpet of litter.

It was heartening to talk to some motorists who stopped to comment favourably, but disheartening to find some motorists had cynically and deliberately thrown litter out when out of sight of us on the cleared area!

As they say in Australia: “DONT BE A TOSSER!”.

Our new slogan, I think, worked there, so perhaps it may have some effect here.

Meanwhile, Jo, Justin and Helen litter picked the sandpit area yet again and filled loads of bags. Jo and Justin had already litter picked it twice recently, but what was more shocking was the amount of broken glass in the sand. This area had been completely cleared of broken glass by Ken, Damien, John, Susy, Hilary, and Rae a couple of weeks earlier, so it was very disappointing.
